This firmware update is compatible with all HAPPY multi-head HCR2-series embroidery machines with the 10.5″ color touch screen, including the HCR2-series 2-head, 4-head, 4-head stretch, 6-head, 6-head stretch and 8-head embroidery machines.
General instructions: (1) Download the ZIP file, which should be named “firmware162_hcr2_10inch.zip” to your PC. (2) Extract all contents to a USB thumb drive compatible with your HAPPY touch screen machine. The result should be a folder single folder called “UpdateFile_SVGA” on your thumb drive. ((3) Insert the thumb drive into your machine. (4) From the machine’s sewing (drive) screen, navigate to the main menu, press OTHER then VERSION. (5) Press UPDATE and allow the update to complete. (this may take several minutes.) Update is complete when the machine has automatically restarted successfully. Disclaimer: improper firmware update may disable your machine. Read instructions carefully before proceeding, and contact support. Additional note: If your machine does not display an “UPDATE” button on its “VERSION” screen, contact support for an alternate procedure.
