HappyLink / HappyLAN / Happy BELL
HAPPYLINK, HAPPYLAN and HAPPYBELL are software programs that connect HAPPY embroidery machines to a PC (HAPPYLINK or HAPPYLAN) or to a mobile device, i.e. tablet or smartphone (HAPPYBELL). These programs are optional and are not required to operate the machines or transfer designs to the machines. These programs simply allow the user additional ways to operate or monitor HAPPY embroidery machines according to preference. Listed below are the feature differences between the 3 programs for those choosing which to set up and install.

HAPPYLINK 4.04 and HAPPYLAN 2.07 – General Instructions: Download this ZIP file, then extract all of its contents to a folder. Then, browse into the folder and find the application “inst_hpy” and double-click on it to launch. Install HappyLAN or HappyLINK program from the screen that appears, and if installing HAPPYLINK, install the correct driver for your operating system (ONLY install the correct driver – installing all drivers can result in a conflict). HAPPY USB Drivers for 32-Bit Versions of Windows (except Windows 98) These drivers will work on 32-bit versions of Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows 7. Be sure to check your PC to see if your version of Windows is 32-bit or 64-bit. |
USB 64-bit drivers |
HAPPY USB Drivers for 64-Bit Versions of WIndows If you are setting up a USB connection between your HAPPY HCS, HCD or HCR machine and a PC with 64-bit versions Windows 7, and 64-bit versions Windows Vista 64. (there is actually a 64-bit version of Win XP, too.). Please check carefully to see if your version of Windows is 32-bit or 64-bit. NOTE: In addition to these drivers, you’ll need to do the following to set up a USB connection on a 64-bit Windows PC: for (1) HCS-1201 Voyager, firmware 1.16 or later, and for HCD-1501 or HCR multi-heads, firmware 1.22 or later; (2) also in the embroidery machine, set USB Connection type in MENU…OPTION… machine option.. to “USB-COM” instead of “norxmal”, and (3) Happylink version 3.09 or later, also set to USB-COM in MENU…OPTION and finally (4). Choose the COM port number (i.e. 1, 2, 3, etc) in Happylink that Windows assigns the Happy machine in the Device Manager. The Happy machine will appear in the Windows Device Manager as “03 Happy Embroidery Machine”. |
